If the safety or educational programs of others is compromised, or if there is an ongoing failure to meet the expectations of the Code of Conduct, this will result in the implementation of a range of consequences. These may include, but are not limited to, the following: suspension, change of program, change of school, referral to a district intervention committee, expulsion and involvement of police when behaviour includes a criminal violation.

Schools will respect the individual differences of students and respond to each infraction according to the student’s age, maturity, capacity and past conduct. School officials have a responsibility to inform other parties of serious breaches of the Code of Conduct.

All members of the Edmonds Community School community have the right to be treated fairly and consistently, and should know and understand this Code of Conduct.
